Forth Charters boat, the "Linda Loo", is a modern Quicksilver Launch powered by a powerful and reliable turbo diesel inboard engine ensuring clients have a friendly and safe boat trip they'll always remember.
We provide fishing tackle and all the safety equipment required for children or adults to have a safe and enjoyable trip, and hot and cold drinks are available onboard.
Fishing Trips in The Firth of Forth - Half or Full Day trips are available
A wide variety of fish such as Cod, Ling, Mackerel, Pollock, Coalfish, Plaice, Flounder and Wrasse are regularly caught in The Firth of Forth. Forth Charters provide both half day and full day fishing trips which can include fishing over some of the many wartime wrecks that are available.
In the summer months Mackerel are plentiful and provide great sport for anglers of all ages and ability, with a live bait well onboard they make great bait for other types of fish and also make a vary tasty meal for taking home.
Sight Seeing Tours in The Firth of Forth - Half or Full Day trips are available
Forth Charters provide breathtaking, enjoyable and exciting tours to the Islands of the Firth of forth capturing their historic mysteries, secrets and intrigues along the way.
The Half-Day Island and Bridges package includes sailing to the islands of: Inchkeith, Inchmickery, Inchgarvie and Inchcolm, plus sailing under the magnificent Forth Bridges.
If arranged in advance clients can also land on the historic Inchcolm Island for a supplementary charge.
Photography and Wildlife in The Firth of Forth - Half or Full Day trips are available
The Firth of Forth is a Mecca for wildlife with a wide range of sea birds and mammals visiting every year. There are normally regular sightings of dolphins and porpoises, even a killer whale has been seen hunting in the fertile waters. Basking sharks and seals return year after year along with the prolific sea bird colonies including gannets, puffins, kittiwakes, razorbills and many more.
Both amateur and professional photographers regularly book trips with Forth Charters to capture the amazing wildlife and scenery that's on offer in the firth.
Private or Company Charters
During the summer of 2010 and in conjunction with Emu Survey, Forth Charters were chartered for various surveys in the Firth of Forth.
